October 24th 2014

The Arab-Irish Chamber of Commerce (AICC) and the Irish Business Network (IBN) based in Dubai have come together to foster greater links between the Gulf Region and Ireland.

Under the recently concluded agreement the AICC and the IBN will allow Associate Membership of each organization to the other’s members, at no extra cost. This groundbreaking initiative will provide both membership bases with access to a wider network of business contacts and new opportunities in the UAE, the wider Gulf Region and in Ireland.

Under the Agreement, AICC members may attend IBN business breakfasts and industry sector meetings in Dubai as well as availing of general advice and introductions when visiting the region. IBN members may attend all AICC events in Ireland as well as availing of the Chamber’s general support and advisory services, and office and meeting facilities in Dublin when available.

The Irish Business Network www.irishbusinessnetwork.me was established in March 2011 with the primary aim of providing a networking and educational platform for Irish professionals based in Dubai. The IBN is the first official Irish business council to be set up in Dubai and is registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. The Dubai Chamber currently has a total of 39 Business Councils and 24 Business Groups under its auspices, which represent a vast cross-section of the business community. Membership of the IBN is open to all Irish nationals living and working in the UAE as well as to business professionals with Irish connections. The IBN Committee, which is elected by the members, is made up of 7 representatives who are actively involved in developing programmes that appeal to its members and that open up new business opportunities.
